Being a travel agent at this time isn’t how it used to be twenty years ago. That doesn’t mean that you can’t be successful in the travel industry – you can absolutely thrive, just probably not likely as a work from home travel agent.
If you’re looking for a job-based work at home travel agent, know that there are some. Some don’t give you leads…and some do. But you better be good at converting the leads the travel agency gives you into buyers or else you’ll find yourself out of a travel job real fast. Do you work well under this kind of pressure?

The reality is that travel agents in general are hurting. The Internet is a constant thorn in the side for regular travel agents and the work from home travel agents.
The cure for this, like I’ve stated before, is that you have to find a segment in the travel industry to market to where you’re the “expert” and where people are more likely to go to you because you have something (a specialty or an expertise or service/product) that is not easily found on the internet.
When you’re a travel affiliate where you have a unique product/service then all you have to do is just get traffic to your affiliate page.
If you want make money faster in the travel industry, the only route is with your own business as a travel affiliate. When you’re your own boss you have to deal with less hassles than if you’re working for someone else in a travel agency.
