Legitimate Data Entry Jobs

Legitimate Data Entry Jobs

Looking for legitimate data entry jobs but coming up empty? This is where you’ll want to start - and end…

If you’re looking for ways to make money from home doing data entry then this is what you need to read. Unlike other “lists” see online or forum posts about doing data entry jobs from home, I’m going to give you some “secrets” to getting the most amount of money. More on that later…

The Best Way to Use This Legitimate Data Entry Jobs List

If you find lists like this a little overwhelming (I know that some people do), I suggest you apply to just one company per day. When you do it that way it is more manageable. Also you’ll want to keep track of which companies you apply at. This can be done with any kind of word doc or spreadsheet.

Some companies may want you to upload your resume. Make sure you have one ready. If you do not have a resume, you can do one yourself by following this video here or find someone on Fiverr to do one for you.

How to Cut Out the “Middleman” and Find Higher Paying Data Entry Jobs

If you’ve applied for data entry job after data entry job with not much luck or if you happen to reside outside the US, know that you can still find data entry jobs - it’s just gonna take more “leg” work.

All of the companies listed here are the middleman. They find businesses that need data entry done and they then find workers to complete these jobs. You can bypass all of that and find companies in your local area that need data entry work done.

Look for small businesses in your area like:

  • Insurance agencies
  • Real estate agents
  • Flower shops
  • Production companies
  • Restaurants
  • Etc…

Check Locally

Local businesses are more likely to post their jobs listings in the local newspaper and on job sites like Indeed.com, CareerBuilder, and Monster. Make sure you check those places daily.

Pick Up the Phone

Sometimes you just have to pick up the phone and reach out to these businesses. You can ask for the owner (if it's a really small business) or the office manager. Just tell them you are a local resident who's looking for data entry work from home and you just wanted to know if they're hiring. Just note they may want people to work out of their office. You have to be ok with that. Remember you're just looking to get your foot in the door.

This may take a few calls and you may want to send a letter just outlining your services and the benefits of using your services over any other company. You set your own rates and/or be ready to negotiate your rate.

You can even offer additional services such as being a virtual assistant, web design services (if you don’t do this you can always outsource).

You can take charge and not wait around for a company to hire you!

Post Your Data Entry Services Online

You can also post your data entry expertise on sites like:

Craigslist

Freelancer

Guru.com

Upwork (formerly Odesk and Elance)

Fiverr

Just know that the competition is fierce on these sites which means you have to find something about your services that stands apart from your competition. Not all companies hire workers based upon the lowest bid - some will pay more to get higher quality and reliable workers.

This a great list to get you started applying for legitimate data entry jobs. Remember, if this seems overwhelming just make it goal to apply at one place per day.

You can do it!
